What this tool does

Each selected value column creates one output record for every input record. Identifier fields repeat on those records, followed by an Attribute field containing the source header and a Value field containing the original cell text.

How to use it

  1. Choose zero or more identifier fields that should repeat on each output record.
  2. Choose one or more value fields to unpivot. A field cannot be both an identifier and a value.
  3. Reshape, review the generated Attribute and Value fields, and download the new CSV.

2. Check the input

Confirm the header and a few records before applying a rule.

Questions

What to expect

What are identifier fields?

They are values such as region, account, or date that stay attached to every generated row. You can choose none when every field should be unpivoted.

Are numeric-looking values converted?

No. Every cell remains text, including IDs with leading zeroes and numbers that need later validation.

Review the destination rules. A valid CSV or a clean report does not guarantee that another system will accept the file. Keep your original and verify any export before importing it.
