1. Bring in a table

CSV or TSV · UTF-8 text · up to 5 MiB, 20,000 records, and 100 columns

All values stay text, including IDs like 0017.
Quoted commas, quotes, and line breaks are preserved. Choose the delimiter if detection is wrong.

What this tool does

Each distinct cell string becomes one output row with its record count and percentage. Matching is exact, so different case or surrounding spaces produce separate values. Percentages use only included records as the denominator.

How to use it

  1. Choose the column to summarize.
  2. Decide whether blank or whitespace-only values belong in the result.
  3. Run the count and review the frequency order and percentage denominator.

2. Check the input

Confirm the header and a few records before applying a rule.

Questions

What to expect

Why do two similar labels appear separately?

The tool compares literal values. Trim or map categories deliberately before counting if your data dictionary treats them as equivalent.

What does the percentage total?

The denominator is the number of records left after your blank-value choice. Rounding can make the displayed percentages total 99.99% or 100.01%.

Review the destination rules. A valid CSV or a clean report does not guarantee that another system will accept the file. Keep your original and verify any export before importing it.
