Interpret column statistics in context
A profile is a quick description of observed values, not a verdict on data quality.
Separate completeness from variety
Nonblank and blank counts describe whether a field is populated. Distinct counts describe exact value variety. A high distinct count may be expected for IDs and suspicious for a controlled status field.
Check the numeric gate
Numeric range, mean, and median appear only when every nonblank value is a finite decimal. A currency symbol, unit, localized decimal separator, or word such as n/a prevents those figures from implying a partial numeric sample.
Use summary values to find follow-up work
A very long string, unexpected blank count, or unusually high variety can guide a closer review. The summary does not know acceptable business ranges or whether a value is true.
