Filter records with one explainable rule

A filtered export is easier to trust when the field, operator, and comparison value are all visible.

Choose the field before the condition

Decide which column answers the question. For an orders threshold, filter orders rather than a formatted display field that may contain currency symbols. Numeric comparisons accept finite decimal text and exclude blank or nonnumeric values instead of treating them as zero.

Understand exact text matching

Equals compares the whole cell. Contains, starts with, and ends with look for literal text, not a regular expression. Case-insensitive mode changes only letter case; it does not trim surrounding whitespace or combine similar spellings.

Check the retained population

Compare the matching count with the input count and inspect a few retained rows near the top and bottom. A filter changes which records appear, not the order or values of those records. Keep the source if you may need a different rule.

Try this workflow: Row filter. It loads a labelled fictional example that you can edit.
